"Thick Water Syndrome" in Shrimp Farm - China
Treatment Summary
The water color was blackish green and brownish red, and it was turbid and sticky with black foam floating on the surface. Bad odor was also present. The shrimp had no appetite and feeds were decreased
Objective: To increase the health of the pond water. A combination of BZT® Waste Digester and BZT® Aquaculture was used.
Results: Within just a few days, the water regained some clarity and the black foam disappeared. Organic waste in the pond bottom was reduced and odors were significantly reduced.
Within a week, the water regained a healthy color and the shrimp rediscovered their appetite.
