"Black Gill" Outbreak in Shrimp Farm - China
Treatment Summary
A large shrimp farm in China experienced blackish green color with black foam and suspended materials on the surface. The shrimp were infected with “Black Gill” even after three consecutive disinfectants. Each time the shrimp recovered, they became infected again.
Objective: To control “Black Gill” outbreak by removing detrimental organic wastes from the pond. A combination of BZT® Waste Digester and BZT® Aquaculture was used.
Results: After a week of treatment, the water quality was improved significantly, the shrimp took on a brighter, healthier color and the Black Gill was on its way to being eliminated.
