Shrimp Farm "Dead Bottom Syndrome" - China

Treatment Summary

Two separate shrimp farms of DOC 90 and DOC 110 suffered from blackish green and brownish red water. The shrimp appetite had decreased significantly, and dead shrimp were found in the bottom and at the feed tray, with mortality increasing every day.

After a combination of BZT® Waste Digester and BZT® Aquaculture was used, water quality had improved, the dead bottom syndrome disappeared and the shrimp recovered their normal appetite.
