Testimonial - Philippines Prawn Farm
June 17, 2003
To Whom It May Concern:
I am a long time prawn grower in the Philippines, and I am now on my 29th cropping.
Prior to the application of BZT® products and new prawn growing techniques, my harvest survival rate averaged 44% with an average body weight of 22 grams at 160 days of culture. With BZT products included, my croppings have averaged a survival rate of 87.3% with an average body weight of 26.7 grams at 145 days of culture.
The improvement in my prawn growing operation is much more remarkable given the fact that my fish pond gets its seawater supply from the Mactan Channel. The channel is the gateway to the port of Cebu, the hub of shipping south of Manila. Into the channel flows waste and refuse from almost the entire metropolitan area of Cebu, the commercial and industrial center of the Visayas.
The reason for the much improved performance can be summed up as follows:
- The implementation of the greenwater technology through reservoir system as developed by Professor Valeriano Corre of the University of the Philippines in the Visayas.
- The full technical support and assistance by the local United-Tech, Inc. Distributor
- The introduction of and the continued use of BZT® Aquaculture and BZT® Waste Digester for prawn farming.
Sincerely
Richard
