Featured Project: Rasti-Land Amusement Park - Germany rasti-land

United-Tech products are doing more than just solving problems in wastewater plants, shrimp farms, oil-polluted sites, drainlines, and pools.  We are everywhere you are, providing a cleaner, healthier environment.  You never know where our products may pop up.  One such place is Rasti-Land.  Rasti-Land is an amusement park located between the cities of Hildesheim and Hameln in the country of Germany.  It has an enormous waterpark that features different themed rides - like “Das Reich des T-Rex”.   On this ride, “Die Dinosaurier sind los im Rasti-Land – und was das bedeutet, können Sie bei uns hautnah miterleben!”  Okay, we don’t know what that means, but it sounds exciting.  It’s got dinosaurs and small boats with water canons.  What more could you ask for?

Park operators were constantly fighting to keep their water looking good.  After all, who wants to get shot by a water canon using dirty, smelly water?   Strong but dangerous chemicals like chlorine can do the job but offer safety issues and can corrode metal parts and equipment.  Toxic chemicals like algaecides would work too; but who wants to swim in that?  A few years ago, a safer alternative was offered to Rasti-Land by ABIS GmbH, Elze.  ABIS is United-Tech’s authorized distributor in Germany.  They proposed Rasti-Land initiate water treatment using BZT® Aquaculture to keep the water looking good.

Success!  Under management by ABIS, an effective treatment program still provides Rasti-Land with what they want – clean water.  Everybody’s happy. Park operators don’t have to use dangerous and corrosive chemicals, visitors see clean water, and the children get wet.  Everybody wins.

Pool Closing with BZT® Pool & Spa Treatmentps

When used in swimming pools and spas, BZT® Pool & Spa Treatment can provide clear and cleaner water without the need for scrubbing off scum rings.  Treatment throughout the swimming season is an all-natural and completely safe way to eliminate body and suntan oils and other organics wastes from your water.  We have found that using BZT® Pool & Spa Treatment at the seasonal closing of your pool provides faster and easier startups next season.  One application of BZT® Pool & Spa Treatment right at pool closing time will break down organic materials in the pool water, reducing cleaning and scrubbing next spring.  At the season closing, treat your pool with two scoops of BZT® Pool & Spa Treatment for every 4,000 gallons (28.4g/11.4m3).

Pool Tip - There are many other activities involved in closing your pool for the winter.  For example, if you live in colder climates; unprotected pumps, filters, heaters, and chlorinators could freeze and crack if all the water is not properly drained.  This is also a good time to lubricate the pump lid o-ring o-rings, valves, and other o-rings as required.  Contact your local pool shop for winterizing recommendations for your area.

Spa Treatment
BZT® Pool and Spa Treatment eliminates scum rings and cloudy water and will extend the life of your filters and chemicals.  If you are currently treating your spa with BZT® Pool and Spa Treatment continue treatment during the winter months.  If you are not treating your spa with BZT® Pool and Spa Treatment, why not?  We can’t think of a better way to make sure you are experiencing the best water quality possible in your spa.  Treatment is simple.  Just two scoops of BZT® Pool and Spa Treatment per week will keep your water crystal clear

Winterizing Ponds
Continue treating your ponds with BZT® products, following recommended rates until the water temperature remains consistently below 50F.  Stop treatment until water temperatures rise back above 50F.

For our clients keeping Koi we offer a few seasonal reminders, as suggested by many of our clients.  Please consult you local Koi club for more detailed instructions on winterizing your pond.

Drainline and Septic System Healthdds

The holiday seasons not only put a strain on you (and your wallet) they can create a lot of stress on septic and drainlines systems as well.  All that extra cooking and cleaning; guests using the restroom; and cooler temperatures can put a heavy strain on your drainlines and septic systems.  Now is the time to get these systems in optimum shape and keep them that way throughout the season by using BZT® Drainline, Disposal & Septic Treatment.

One scoop of BZT® Drainline, Disposal & Septic Treatment is all it takes to keep lines running smoothly and prevent the buildup of organic sludges, grease, etc.  This routine treatment will also help prevent odors coming from drains, septic tanks, and even your garbage disposal.  So make sure you don’t forget your monthly drainline treatments during the holidays.  And if you are not treating your drainlines or septic tank with BZT® Drainline, Disposal & Septic Treatment, you better get started now to make sure your system is ready for the holidays.
