BZT® Drain & Septic Instructions

(To retain freshness and viability, reseal pouch and store in cool, dry location out of direct sunlight)

NOTE: When measuring dosage, avoid getting water or moisture in the packaging. Do not use wet utensils or wet hands. Reseal immediately after.

Maintaining Drainlines

To maintain drainlines, calculate the number of drains and toilets to be treated. Next, add one Cup of lukewarm water to a pitcher or small bucket for each drain/toilet, and follow with the same number of Tablespoons of BZT® Drain & Septic. Mix well and pour one Cup of this solution into each drain or toilet. Flush toilet once after applying.

To receive maximum benefits, apply treatment when drains will remain inactive for several hours (such as at night just before going to bed, or in the morning if the house is unoccupied during the day).

Maintaining Septic Systems (up to 1500 Gallons)

Initial Treatment - Mix 8 oz (one pack) of BZT® Drain & Septic into 1/2-gallon of lukewarm water until dissolved (about one minute). Pour this solution directly into septic tank through the access cover. If this is not accessible, pour the solution into a toilet closest to the septic tank and flush.

Maintenance - After the initial treatment, re-application to the tank is no longer necessary provided all the drainlines leading to the tank receive monthly treatment as described above in the Maintaining Drainlines section.

NOTE: The above treatment procedure is designed to maintain a working system and overcome minor problems with solids or odors. If the septic tank has not been inspected in the past several years, have a professional inspect the system for proper performance and pumping needs. If the septic tank is having blockage issues or the leachate field is not functioning properly, a more aggressive treatment may be needed. Contact United-Tech for assistance.

ADDITIONAL USES & INSTRUCTIONS

NOTE:

• Never use caustic drain cleaners while using BZT® Drain & Septic, as they kill beneficial microorganisms. Occasional use of bleach is acceptable.
• Drain pipe flow will improve within 1-3 days. During this time, a stoppage may occur due to chunks of loosened waste. Use a plunger or cable to restore flow.

Garbage Disposal Odor

To eliminate garbage disposal odors, mix one Tablespoon of BZT® Drain & Septic with 8 ounces of warm water. Turn on disposal. Dump mixture in and quickly turn off disposal. Do not use the disposal for several hours. Repeat as needed.

Motor Homes, RVs & Boats

Clean and deodorize holding tanks using BZT® Drain & Septic. It does not simply mask obnoxious odors; it actually eliminates the compounds that cause them.

Maintenance: Add 2 Tablespoons in 1 cup of warm water to toilet and flush. This will activate the digestion of the tank and should be sufficient until the holding tank is emptied. NOTE: If odor happens to reoccur before dumping, add an additional 2 Tablespoons mixed in one 8 oz glass of warm water to the tank.

System Purge: If you are switching from products containing chemicals, purge the system as chemicals that remain on the walls of lines and tank will kill friendly microorganisms. For 40-Gallon tank mix six Tablespoons into 1 pint of warm water and pour into the toilet and flush, or pour directly into the holding tank. Fill balance of tank with water, and let stand for two (2) days. Drain tank and flush out with water (until the water runs clear). This will clean the tank. Then maintain as above.
