NOT
for
Grease
Traps
or Drainlines
Alone
Do
not
use
the
BZT®
Xtra-Wet
in grease
traps
or through
drains
that
flow
into
a grease
trap.
You
must
mix
BZT®
Waste
Digester
with
the
BZT®
Xtra-Wet.
BZT®
Xtra-Wet
is a
wetting
agent,
emulsifier
that
makes
the
grease
more
available
for
the
bacteria/enzymes
in BZT®
Waste
Digester
to breakdown.
BZT®
Xtra-Wet
used
alone
can
free
up the
grease
and
allow
it to
pass
through
to the
sewer
without
any
microbial
breakdown
occurring
because
BZT®
Xtra-Wet
does
not
have
any
bacteria
or enzymes
in it.
By using
BZT®
Xtra-Wet
alone
in these
grease
trap
situations,
you
could
jeopardize
your
customers
by creating
pass
through
grease.
This
was
discussed
in the
first
bulletin
sent
out
dated
January

2000
about
the
BZT®
Xtra-Wet.
Difference
Between
Surfactant
and
Wetting
Agent
What
is the
difference
between
a Surfactant
and
a Wetting
Agent?
Surfactant
- any
surface
active
agent
or substance
that
modifies
the
nature
of surfaces,
reducing
the
surface
tension
of water
allowing
the
penetration
of the
liquid
into
a material.
Surfactants
are
used
in detergents,
penetrating
agents
and
emulsifiers.
Wetting
Agent
- a
compound
added
to a
liquid
in small
quantities
in order
to enhance
the
spread
of the
liquid
on a
surface.
BZT®
Xtra-Wet
is a
wetting
agent.
